A pair of red silk panties once worn by Kylie Minogue have sold for £5,000 at a London auction (which is not that weird, really - in Japan, there are entire vending machines devoted to Kylie Minogue's used panties).

Auction house Christie's expected the underwear to go for less than £4,000, but clearly underestimated the impact Kylie's Agent Provocateur ad had on an entire generation of potential used underwear purchasers (in fact, this particular red la Perla bra-and-panties combo was worn by Kylie for a charity calendar shoot).
