In a nutshell, what is Cali/Cale all about?
We celebrate Australia's unique lifetsyle. I wanted to create a sandal that takes you from a day at the beach to balmy evening drinks with friends.

What inspires the brand?
I am inspired by the balance of contrasts. Cali and Cale means Beautiful and Bold, so this is where I start when designing our sandals. The contrast of artisan techniques with contemporary designs always inspires, as well as Australia itself – the fusion of sand and street.

Plans for 2012?
We are looking forward to launching our 2nd Edition for summer 2012 and finding more outlets to stock our brand around the country.
I'm also really enjoying tweeting (@caliandcale) and keeping people up-to-date on facebook with the brand as we grow, sharing thoughts and ideas that inspire.
