The annual Jakarta Fashion & Food Festival Week strives to establish Indonesian creative fashion design in the international industry while foregrounding Jakarta as in international fashion hub. This year’s event — held May 12-27 – sees over 150 local, national and international designers showcasing their collections.

Opening a series of shows, Raden Sirait upholds the beauty and elegance of 'kebaya' dress. Showcasing the themes 'Endless Grateful, No End Happiness. Ode and Elegy for The Lord of the universe', Sirait tributes his achievements in the fashion industry.

Valentino Napitupulu mixes decadent shades of gold with warm red and orange hues of winter while Merry Yu displays a strong influence from Western culture and introduces edgy car-shaped purses.

Other designers remain true to establishing traditional Indonesian fashion in the international industry.
