Fashion parades in Brisbane can be unpredictable – especially when being staged in nightclubs.

Working with elements often out of an organiser’s control (think bored crowds, drunk patrons, inexperienced models or disorganised backstage crew etc) – the event can be perfect on the page and horrible on the night.

Luckily for Fashion Society event at The Met (Fri March 30) – the elements came together for a NYC Street Style themed fun and fashion-filled night with lots of loud beats, cool clothing changes and some classic street styling.

Featuring collections from Speak No Ink, Black Milk, Faith & Lola and Shirley Fracture, the show was a melting pot of colours, cuts and designs with inspiration drawn from the New York fashion scene.
