It was a beautiful Friday night and the perfect setting for a fashion parade and the launch of two exciting Gold Coast labels.
The first to showcase was Molly & Polly Swimwear, with local designer Kirsten Beck, who’s originally from Townsville, unveiling her first collection, ‘Sunset High’, at Komune Resort & Beach Club at Coolangatta.
Stretching over the glistening pool, the outdoor catwalk carried models portraying summer’s finest in signature prints and styles made from the best Italian lycras that was reminiscent of retro Miami.
Featuring one-pieces, bikinis as well as leggings, this label is one to watch out for.
Sharing the limelight was luxury designer Marie Gleeson with her label Vinny & Beth.
Described as an innovative tangle of street and couture, Vinny & Beth is made to order couture.
With rompers, flowing dresses and fitted bustiers using black and white with a mixture of metallics, this ready to wear label showcased casual day wear to formal evening wear.
With a full moon, and light breeze, the fashionistas loved what they witnessed and judging from the word on the street, the orders are coming in thick and fast.
Well done girls and keep the talent coming!
